CLEMSON —No. 19 Clemson footballrouted NC State Saturday, winning 59-35 vs. NC State at Memorial Stadium.
The Tigers (2-1, 1-0 ACC) overwhelmed the Wolfpack (2-2, 0-1) in the first half, outscoring them 45-7 and outgaining them 408-164. Clemson inserted its reserves after the first possession of the second half.
Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik kept up his strong play, going 16-for-24 with four total touchdowns (one rushing). The Tigers’ 59 points are the second-most scored against NC State in their series history.
Clemson hosts Stanford (2-1, 1-0) next Saturday (7 p.m. ET, ESPN)at Memorial Stadium.

The Tigers maximized the 47 seconds they received after wide receiver Antonio Williams returned a punt for 21 yards. They got inside the five-yard line but couldn't score a touchdown. They settled for a Nolan Hauser 21-yard field goal to lead by 38 at halftime.
