I have stayed in 5 star boutique hotels all over the world and Chateau de Maubreuil is at the top of my list! The rooms are edgy with all the latest fittings, whilst still maintaining their historical charm. The chateau has a gorgeous little bar with an experienced sommelier and amazing cocktails. The restaurant is also beautiful with a great menu. And to top it all off the staff were so friendly and welcoming! They went above and beyond to make sure it was a memorable stay. Thank you, I will definitely be back!

We stayed at Chateau de Maubreuil on our way from Ile de Re to Paris. It is a wonderful place. The gardens are magical and our room was beautiful. We are looking forward to coming back to stay in another one of the beautiful rooms.

Really gorgeous and immaculate interior and rooms, full of inventive and charming whimsy. Charming front desk staff too. Why not 5 stars? It's a slightly peculiar location, which can't be avoided. There seemed to be a few management issues though which could. The dinner service was disorganised, for example, and the garden is in an embarrassingly terrible state.

We had a lovely stay at this chateau in France, which mixes modern comfort with unique design. Our room was themed "China," with beautiful Chinese decorations, really special. The hotel has great facilities like a high-tech Japanese toilet and provides excellent services—very clean, nice snacks, and friendly staff.However, for dog owners, it's a bit complicated. They allow dogs, give a bed and water bowl, but dogs are not allowed in any dining areas, inside or outside. This was inconvenient because we couldn't dine at the hotel with our dog.Despite this, the hotel is very relaxing, and each room looks different which is interesting. They have both heater and air conditioning, so it’s comfortable all the time. I really recommend this place, it’s fantastic in every way, just wish they let dogs in the dining areas.Overall, great place, would go back again for sure!

I struggle to find words adequate enough to describe this hotel. Years of travel and a very early career in 5-star hospitality have afforded me the luxury of staying in some of the finest hotels out there. When I say this is hands down the best hotel I’ve stayed, I do not take that statement lightly! My family was in this region visiting my daughter, studying abroad for the Fall semester and was looking for a hotel where we could relax yet central enough to the day trips we had planned. From the minute you approach the gate you know this is going to be a place like none other. The “castle” is stunning! All old world charm with thoughtful and unique modern touches like art and furniture that blew us away. We stayed in the building just adjacent to the main house, as we opted for more space. Our “apartment” was 2 floors with a full kitchen (we never used it but was nice to have!) living, dining and rose garden. While the top floor had 2 bedrooms, separate shower and toilet rooms and more space than needed. If you are a design fan like me (I’m an interior designer), your camera roll will be full with all of the creativity and inspiration! The restaurant is world class. In fact we cancelled our other reservations and ate here all of our nights. The staff made sure not one course was repeated, so each tasting menu was truly unique. We are from nyc and accustomed to the sticker shock that comes with dining in this style but wow, were we ever wrong. The 4 course tasting for 3 people with wine, tax etc totaled just over 200 euros. Totaled! This is a value like none other, trust me. Take time to explore the grounds and amaze at the artwork in plain sight but also hidden in the most perfectly unexpected ways. The staff is at your disposal and please take advantage! We owe them a debt of gratitude for making this trip truly a once in a lifetime experience!

My new favorite hotel in Europe.Not only was the property and room spectacular, but the staff was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. Made my first trip to Nantes extra special and helped me arrange some restaurants and wine tours.I extended my stay a few hours to experience the Sunday brunch, was fantastic: my only regret is I could not stay longer.

The menu was excellent the starter very well, for the main course we were a bit surprised by the quantity of fish. We know the price of it is very expensive. For the service all of them are very attentive about their guests. On a ladder of 10, we offer you 9 and we recommend your restaurant right now.

The rooms are very charming, classic and refreshed with a lot of space, although overly digitized which leads to some inconveniences. The spa is very nice, as is the outdoor pool and gardens. The chargers for electric cars are plentiful. The gastronomic restaurant is fantastic. But considering this is a five star chateau, there is should also be a basic lunch or dinner menu offered, such as quality bistro food, especially if you’re there for more than 2 nights. Gardens are also a dream and the swimming pool is great .The restaurant has a very nice gastro menu but limited offering outside that .Service is super friendly and willing to help but there is not enough and is not experienced .At the rate (300 eur/night ) I would definetly recommmed it !

Great setup in a beautiful Chateau. Every room had a different theme and we chose to stay in Saint Petersburg. Booking online was straightforward and easy and the website had a good amount of information.We got there a bit late (10:30pm) and someone was still at the front desk waiting for us. They were very courteous and accommodating. The rooms are on the second floor with no elevator, but we only had carryons and someone helped us with our luggage.The room was very clean, very modern and pretty stocked up. The bathroom was also a combination of modern and vintage and decorated beautifully. We only stayed one night and upon checkout we were given a small cute bag of chocolates and water bottles to take with us. I am planning to come and back, stay longer and explore the area!

Overall the service and attention to detail was AMAZING.The hotel also has a very nice outside area (pool, beach bar, gardens, aviary) as well as a cozy bar, a fancy restaurant and a spa area. There is no official dress code, but it can be easy to feel under-dressed (business-casual is pretty safe).The hotel is easy to reach by car, with parking on site and the possibility to rent a small electric car directly from the hotel. Since access to the French highway system is very convenient from here, it’s also an ideal base for longer trips in the region (e.g. Mont-Saint-Michel or Puy du Fou).
