Tech has made it nearly impossible to sell-off or give away your extra or unused tickets outside the stadium. This stubborn act has decreased the number of butts in the seats. Previously if you ended up with extra tickets, you could sell them or give them away outside the entrance. All you had to do was sènd a screen shot to the buyer. Now, You have to sell your tickets through seatgeek. That's a lot of steps to go through outside the entrance and at a place where connectivity sucks. The exception to this is to literally have the buyer go through the entrance with you. This however presents it's own problems.

Seems like the ticket office should address this.

The issue is real simple. With a paper ticket the seller get's all the money. With an e-Ticket, which must be sold through only certain channels, rest assured, the seller is not getting all the money. I know, been there done that, but not with TT tickets. Others are getting their piece of the pie (and one might be surprised how big it is). Covid fears of ticket germs created this monster. Now it will never go away.

There is not one large venue in Lubbock that uses paper tickets anymore. I would guess there are very few, anywhere.

You guys and your paper tickets still wearing a suit coat and tie to the games and complaining that you’re not allowed to smoke in the stadium.

I will say SeatGeek was a pain the first time I tried to download my tickets. They did work with me until they cancelled the transfer, the resent it.

Buddy Holly Hall uses TicketMaster and I never had a problem with them.

What do they do if you cannot bring up your ticket on the phone due to some reason? Can you get a physical ticket at will call etc...then sell or giveaway that?

Is this system designed to keep people from getting scammed by buying fake tickets? That is the only reason I can think of that makes it difficult to transfer the tickets. Who knows.

Seat Geek and other resellers like Seat Geek rip you off with all the fees. When I went to the NBA Finals Seat Geek charged as much in fees as it did for just the ticket. I am not a fan of that.

It is different now. You can transfer them on the Tech website or sell them on seatgeek. Last year a screenshot of a ticket would get you in. That made it easy to give them away or sell them for cash near the entrance. So if your wife or parents cancel late your tickets will likely go unused. Unless someone who wants to buy them literally walks in the gate with you.

Transfer them and have the buyer Venmo you. Much easier.

I don’t know anywhere that a screenshot of a ticket still works.

My family and I have had trouble everygame. The first game, although it showed to have downloaded in my sons apple wallet, would not work. They tried to send us around to the ticket office. Last week we were having trouble downloading. In the past people would show up at our tailgate, someone would have an extra ticket and you would give it to them, last year you just took a screen shot of the ticket and sent a text. This year you need a PHD in computer science and better wifi or 5G than is available in the parking lot and stadium to transfer the ticket. In summary this system SUCKS!!!!.

I pay too much money for this to be a pain

    Sincerely,

Angry old Man or Male Karen

Just makes those paper tickets to big events much more valuable on the collectors market. Tech is getting a second piece of the pie with this process.

OU will sell paper season football tickets for an additional fee...I think its $50 per ticket per season.

I will pay it the next time I buy season tickets.

Lots of people are having similar problems, causing enough frustrations that staying home and watching the game in 4K is a pretty attractive option for a growing number of fans

Someday, universities will regret their decision to go paperless and use the ticket brokers.

You can transfer and Venmo the tickets.
Speaking of that, I have two tickets on the East side for sale. About 5 rows behind the students on the 20 yard line. Pretty good seats for $50 total.

At the first 2 home games there have always been several people I've seen who were Having issues getting in. Then they were trying to log on to Their account but couldn't hardly do it because of the lack of bandwidth near the stadium.

They said in the video they are making it as "easy as possible" to enter the game, according to the video there are only about fourteen steps to take to download and get into the stadium. I have been a season ticket holder for 35 plus years, every year it gets less and less enjoyable to attend a game live. The Tech administration can thank my wife for pressuring me into getting tickets, because I would have quit them several years ago.

I just got on SeatGeek and StubHub. They want $23 and$22, respectively, for EACH ticket (Transfer fee). F that. It doubles the cost of the order. Stupid.
